International Symposium on
Ocean Color Remote Sensing and Carbon Flux
by
CEReS and JUWOC
The international symposium on Ocean Color Remote Sensing and Carbon Flux is proposed to have a chance forgive oceanographers and related scientists a chance to exchange their ideas and research results on the ocean color remote sensing and its application on to the carbon flux studies. Since the launch of the OCTS and the SeaWiFS, the ocean color data is flooding on into our research fields with finding various phenomenon and providing information related to the climate change. At this timing, the carbon flux in the ocean is the a serious research theme, which needs further researches and studies, especially on the control of carbons flux from fossil fuel consumption. Following these satellite programs, In the near future, there will be improved spectral resolution ocean color data from the hyper-spectrum remote sensing is going to start with GLI and MODIS programs. This symposium is also going to provide opportunities to exchange ideas on these new fields data fields among scientists.
This international symposium is organized jointly by the CEReS, Center for Remote Sensing of Environment (CEReS), and the JUWOC, Japan US Workshop on Ocean Color (JUWOC). During this period, It will follow the NASDA (National Aerospace Development Agency) opens the workshop for on ADEOS and ADEOS-II which will be from Dec.6 to 10, of 1999 at in Kyoto, Japan. It will be a good opportunity to visit Japan for scientists those who are working on in this field.
